My Expertise

I’m a modern actuary with strong technical skills. I combine deep domain knowledge with modern tools and techniques to deliver value for the whole enterprise. My core skills include:

Ratemaking & Reserving Icon

Ratemaking & Reserving

Crunching complex data to price risks accurately and building reliable models that forecast future claims are at the core of my work. I also design business specific diagnostic tools to detect early signs of model deviation and deploy refinements to correct course.

Capital Management Icon

Capital Management

I perform stress tests and extreme scenario modeling to optimize an entity's capital allocation, keeping it both robust and efficient. This work blends financial engineering and risk management, all while making sure we satisfy the ever-changing regulatory standards.

Data Engineering Icon

Data Engineering

I am proficient in Python and SQL. I build scalable data pipelines, and deploy models that automatically transform raw data into beautiful visuals that are easy to understand. I bring full-stack capabilities to actuarial work, combining data science and engineering expertise.

Although I’m fully employed, I occasionally take on short term contracting projects. These are a good fit for teams needing temporary support with actuarial insight, data-driven modeling, or an independent review of complex risk issues. This work keeps my skills sharp and gives me visibility into new industry challenges.

My Experiences

With a strong foundation in pricing, reserving, and reinsurance, I’ve held key actuarial roles across high-growth and established companies. In my most recent role as Lead Actuary at Cover, I led initiatives in pricing strategy, product launches, and profitability analysis. Before that, at Uber, I focused on pricing and reserving for their rideshare and delivery businesses, supported its captive management, and contributed to SOX compliance ahead of compayn's IPO. And lastly, my actuarial career began at Allstate, where I worked on rate indications, regulatory filings, and supported new product launches.
